Reference implementations

View as Markdown

Reference implementations are downloadable GitHub projects that demonstrate how to implement and use various types of Extension apps. Several reference implementations are available for you to download, run, and use as a reference for your own extension app development. Each of these reference implementations showcases one category of extension. Each reference implementation also includes ready-to-use manifest files configured to work with a hosted version of the app, enabling you to explore the extension’s behavior immediately—no need to download or run the project.

The following reference implementations are available on GitHub:

To use an extension app reference implementation, clone the project files from GitHub and follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the README file located in the root folder of each implementation. These instructions will guide you through configuring your development environment, running the app, setting up a public endpoint, and preparing the example manifest. The README also includes detailed instructions on how to upload an extension app manifest to the Docusign Developer Console to start testing the connection and extensions, whether you’re using the local project or a hosted manifest file.
