Versioning
Docusign Admin provides methods for two different versions of the API.
- Version 2.0 methods enable you to manage your eSignature users and ensure compliance for your organization.
- Version 2.1 exposes methods that enable you to manage users, groups, and permission profiles in multiple products (currently eSignature and CLM) programmatically as well as directly add users to or remove users from groups and permission profiles. You must already have a CLM account to make calls that perform actions on CLM users, groups, or permission profiles with any Admin API v2.1 methods. For more information about getting access to CLM and Admin API v2.1, contact your account executive.
Both versions of the Admin API are designed to be used concurrently. v2.1 does not replace v2.0, and if your app does not manage CLM users, you can continue using v2.0 of the API.
To add users to groups or permission profiles when working with version 2.0 and the eSignature product, use the eSignature Users:create endpoint.
